YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, July 30 (Itar-Tass) - Japan's ship of friendship is arriving in Sakhalin from Japan on Thursday. The motor ship that will moor at the Korsakov port, will bring a delegation of 74 young residents of the Hokkaido Island, the information policy committee of the Sakhalin region administration told Itar-Tass.

An interesting programme has been prepared on Sakhalin for the guests.
It includes several excursions during which the young people will visit
the local sights. During the weekend they will take part in a youth sports
forum in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
The young Hokkaido residents will leave Sakhalin on August 5. The
parting ceremony with the "Ship of Peace" passengers will be held in a
recreation camp where the guests will be treated to Sakhalin fish soup.
It is already the 11th ship of friendship travelling between Sakhalin
and Hokkaido. The youth delegations' exchanges between the two islands are
held annually. Russia and Japan take turns in receiving guests.
