Intl youth judo forum opens on Sakhalin.

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, August 2 (Itar-Tass) - The 3rd International Youth
Judo Sport Forum opened on Sakhalin on Sunday. Taking part in it are about
70 sportsmen from several cities of Russia and Japan, the press service of
the Sakhalin Region's physical culture and sports committee told Itar-Tass.

The forum will last until August 5. Aside from match judo
competitions, its programme includes training seminars. Japanese
instructors will hold training sessions.
The Sakhalin Judo and Sambo Wrestling Federation maintains contacts
with the Japanese colleagues (Kodokan Judo Institute, Japan Judo
Federation, Hokkaido Judo federation) for about 10 years. The sides have
been exchanging delegations over this period. The 1st International Youth
Sport Forum was held on Sakhalin in 2003, the second - two years later.
The forum participants will compete for the individual prizes: "for
best techniques," "for the most spectacular duel," "for the quickest
victory" and "for the most beautiful throw."
