Victory on International song contest in Turkey

Almaty, August 12 2009, Khabar - Kazakhstan’s resident Nurgali Turlybekov has become a winner of the 20th international song contest in Cheshme. He got second after the Ukrainian singer Valeriya Kaluzhskaya. The two days of the contest were on the live television broadcast. The contest in Turkey involved singers from Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Switzerland, Sweden, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania but only four contestants, including Nurgali Turlybekov, entered the final. The famous producer and head of “Asia Dauysy” and “Zhas Kanat” festivals were among the jury.

Murat Irgaliyev, head of “Asia Dauysy” and “Zhas Kanat” festivals:
- Usually, it is clear who will become the winner of the contest from the first rehearsal. But of course there are some changes during the contest.

At this contest the singer from Kazakhstan has chosen the “Bir Dala” song. Also, Nurgali is a winner of international festivals in Belarus, Ukraine and Russia. It is interesting to note that one of the minions of the festival Roberto Meldoni liked the “Bir Dala” song very much and asked for permission to include it into his repertoire. This year the Boney M music band and prize winners of Eurovision-2009, Johana from Island, and Aisel from Azerbaijan, were among the guests of the contest. And the Turkish singer Tarkan devoted his performance to Michael Jackson.
