Nepalese Premier leaves for New Delhi on maiden visit to India
Kathmandu, Aug 18 (PTI) Nepalese Premier Madhav Kumar
Nepal Tuesday left for New Delhi on a five-day maiden official
visit during which he will discuss issues of mutual interest
with Indians leaders including his counterpart Manmohan Singh.
During the bilateral meeting with Singh, Nepal is
expected to discuss a host of issues, including extradition
treaty, the review of the 1950 Peace and Friendship Treaty,
Bhutanese refugee problem, Nepal's peace process and matters
relating to security and border.
Nepal, who is leading a 64-strong delegation, is
accompanied by Finance, Tourism, Commerce, Industry and Energy
ministers. However, Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala was unable
to join the delegation citing health reasons. PTI
