Southwest monsoon vigorous in Marathwada region

Pune, Aug 22 (PTI) The southwest monsoon has been
vigorous in Marathwada in west India and active in
north-eastern states like Assam and Meghalaya and
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, the Met office said
on Saturday.

It has been subdued over west Uttar Pradesh,
Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan,
west Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat state. PTI MDS
