LeT operative part of module planning terror strikes in Maha?

New Delhi, Aug 26 (PTI) Police is investigating
whether the 27-year-old suspected LeT operative arrested in
the national capital was part of a module planning terror
strikes in India's western state of Maharashtra during the
festive season, sources said Wednesday.
Investigations are also on to ascertain whether
Yousuf, who was arrested from New Delhi railway station
Tuesday, had visited Pakistan-occupied Kashmir
Yousuf was caught by Delhi Police's Special Cell about
an hour before he was to board a Nanded-bound train. He was
caught allegedly with four detonators, two timers and two kgs
of explosive chemicals.
"We have alerted Maharashtra Police about the arrest.
However, we are yet to ascertain as to which place in
Maharashtra Yousuf was headed to," a senior police official
said.
The arrest comes at a time when people are celebrating
Ganesh Chaturthi as well as observing fast during the month
of Ramadan.
Sources said investigations are yet to ascertain his
"exact role."
"He could just be a courier. He could be much more
than that. We are interrogating him to know where he was going
to, whom he was supposed to meet," the official said.

Sources said Yusuf, who came to Delhi from Jammu,
hails from Poonch in northern state of Jammu and Kashmir and
was believed to be headed towards western metropolis Mumbai.
