15 beauties to vie for 'Miss Bollywood UK'

London, Aug 28 (PTI) In the first such event of its kind
in Britain, the bold and the beautiful among the country's
Asian community will vie for the crown of 'Miss Bollywood UK'
on Saturday.

The event, organised by entrepreneur Zia Choudhary, will
see the winner among 15 contestants being offered a role in a
Bollywood movie.

Choudhary said: "Miss Bollywood UK will see the crowned
Beauty Queen launched in a Bollywood Movie and take the beauty
pageant to another level. This will be the stepping stone for
many young ladies with a dream to get into Bollywood and on
their own merit, achieve stardom".

He added: "The winner of Miss Bollywood UK will also be
entered automatically into the finals of Miss Universe Great
Britain which will give the winner an opportunity to compete
for the title of Miss Universe".

The contest, to be held in Birmingham, will be judged by
actress Manisha Koirala.

Choudhary said: "Suddenly we've got this cross-over
between Hollywood and Bollywood which adds to the authenticity
of the Indian film industry. It's an exciting time to be part
of Bollywood."

The contestants are: Kiran Myarr, Natasha Khan, Amandeep
Sahota, Stacey Fox, Saher Ahmed, Tanita Wahid, Kirsty Lo,
Natasha Mistry, Samera Bilal, Nisha Mavani, Ashley Mckeever,
Kinjala Kansara and Simran Chadha. PTI PS
