Vietnam company builds modern village in Vientiane

(KPL) The Mekong International Joint Venture Company of Vietnam would be spending US$23 million on building a modern village at km 16, Saythany district, Vientiane Capital.
The signatories were Mr Bounpone Sisoulath, Director of Planning and Investment Service of Vientiane and Mrs Vu Huong Gieng, Director of the Mekong International Joint Venture Company of Vietnam. The signing was witnessed by the vice-mayor of Vientiane, Mr Somvandy Nathavong, in Vientiane on 27 August.
The Mekong International Joint Venture Company, a subsidiary of a mining company group in Vietnam, was registered in Laos in 2008 and its premises is in Dongnasoktay village, Sikhottabong district.
The company has won a 50-year concession of 131,831 square metres in Phokham village (Km-16 ), Saythany district. The Vietnamese investor will build within a period of six years, 81 apartments, a trade centre, a car park and a public park.
