SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- NHN Corp., the operator of South Korea's largest
Internet portal Naver, said Wednesday that its portal site was included in the
world's top five Internet search engines.
Naver ranked fifth worldwide in July with a 1.35 percent market share after
Google, Yahoo!, China's search engine Baidu and Microsoft's portal site, the
company said, citing a report by comScore, Inc., which compiled rankings of the
global search engines.
More than 1.5 billion searches were conducted on Naver in July, up 23 percent
from 1.24 billion searches a year earlier.
Google attracted significantly more searches than any other engine with 76.7
