AZERBAIJAN JOINS GOLDEN STAG-2009 FESTIVAL FOR THE FIRST TIME
Baku, August 23 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani young singer Emin Hasan represented Azerbaijan for the first time in the Golden Stag Festival, a internationally renowned musical competition dubbed to be the second biggest contest after the Eurovision Song Contest.
The festival held in Brasov Romania brought together singers from Turkey, Romania, Belgium, Australia, China, Estonia, Finland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania and other countries. The competition held every year since 1968 has already won popularity in the world
The main differences between Golden Stag and Eurovision are attributed to the fact that each participating country could have more than one song and there are no limitations on from where an artist has to be in order to submit entries.
