Two earthquakes registered near Kurile range, Kamchatka
YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, September 4 (Itar-Tass) -- Two earthquakes were
registered overnight at the Kurile range and Kamchatka in the Russian Far
East.
The Russian Geophysical Service said underground earthquake force 4.9
Richter scale was registered at a depth of 50 kilometers in the central
part of the Kurile range close to uninhabited islands.
The earthquake at the eastern coast of Kamchatka was force 4.6 at a
depth of 70 kilometers.
Late on Thursday an earthquake force 3.5 was also reported in the area
of South Kurile Islands.
There were no reports about the aftermath.
