“BAKU IS WORLD’S MOST INTERNATIONAL CITY”, ALLA PUGACHEVA

Baku, 4 September (AzerTAc). In her exclusive interview to AzerTAc correspondent, Alla Pugacheva, People’s Artist of USSR, who is on tour in Azerbaijan, said she is happy of being in Baku. “I spent a sweetest and most joyful days of my light-hearted youth in Azerbaijan. I have had lot friends here. Azerbaijani people are notable for amazing hospitality and heartiness. I always considered Baku to be the most international city of the world. I have the same opinion for now, though so many years have passed. I was impressed with construction boom in Baku. And I express gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan for that. And I welcome these changes.”
Speaking of her concerts in Baku, Pugacheva said she feels great responsibility prior to meet the audience. “I’ll try to justify expectations of Bakuvians”, she stressed. “Let them remember my songs forever.”
Remembering her youth performances, Pugacheva said “the concerts with participation of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev were especially unforgettable for me. I used to love him very much, he was a remarkable personality, and always inspired the performer.”
