Bishkek, September 08 2009, Khabar - 154 books about Kazakh folklore, history and philosophy have been given away to the Kyrgyzstan National Library by their counterparts from Kazakhstan on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Kyrgyz National Library. The books, issued as part of the Cultural Heritage programme are divided into 11 series. The largest includes 37 volumes and depicts tales, epic stories and historic poems. Moreover, the collection is also made up of books describing the philosophical heritage of the Kazakh nation and an anthology of Kazakh music.

Oranbasar Isakhov, general director, National Library of Kazakhstan:
- These books, which are published in Kazakhstan under the Cultural Heritage programme, contain a lot of important and unique information about the national spiritual self-identity of the Kazakh nation. It is very important to make these books available in those countries which are interested in Kazakh literature, its folklore and the multi-faceted philosophical works of Kazakh thinkers.
