Judicial campaign against illiteracy
Almaty, September 11, 2009 (Khabar) - From now on the justice department of Almaty holds consultations to people just at their workplaces. According to the instruction of the minister, the specialists go to enterprises or institutions to explain people how they can solve their juridical problems or register the documents. On September 10, the officials of justice department advise the residents of Alatau district at the building of municipal administration. People mainly asked about registration of documents for land, real estate and receiving residence permit. The main task of the justice department is to increase judicial awareness of population due to such visiting consultations. Most of Kazakhstanis don’t know laws and this helps to develop corruption. Such campaigns will be held regularly. The lawyers have already advised officials of “Kazakhtelecom” and “Air space agency”.
Moldir Ramazanova, resident of Alatau district of Almaty:
- We didn’t know much, for example before this meeting I didn’t know the temporary residence permit can be received at the job. Only today I’ve found out it from the officials of the justice department. I think such campaigns must be held more often and then people will know their rights and be judicially competent.
Dinmuhamed Adaibai, deputy head of justice department of Almaty:
- People have many questions concerning receiving residence permit, registration of real estate. In particular, we want to help first of all people whose houses were flooded in Shanyrak micro district. As a result of flooding they lost documents for their dwelling and now our officials advise them and render necessary assistance. We accept their applications and registration of documents will be begun from tomorrow.
