Suspected ISI agent held in Kanpur

Kanpur, Sep 12 (PTI) A suspected Inter-Services
Intelligence (ISI) agent was arrested here and some secret
documents and several mobile sim cards were recovered from
him, police sources said Saturday.

Acting on a tip off, sleuths of Anti-Terrorist Squad
held Imtiaz Ali alias Mahesh Kumar, a resident of Jhansi
district from the city late Friday night, the sources said.

Ali had been allegedly collecting information about
sensitive areas of the city and sending across the same to
Pakistan, they said.

The ATS has taken the accused to Lucknow (the capital
of India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh) for further
interrogation. PTI
