AZERBAIJAN CONTINUES TO INCREASE OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION, ENERGY MINISTER
Baku, September 13 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s industry and energy minister Natig Aliyev said oil and gas production had continued to increase in the country since the start of the year.
“We have the potential to bring, in the coming two or three years, the oil production to 65 million tons, while gas production to 40 billion cubic meters.”
Commenting on the oil prices in the world markets, Aliyev said “they can considerably jump only after the world economic crisis is over”.
“First and foremost this must happen in the USA, China, Japan and India which are the largest oil importing countries in the world,” Aliyev added.
“We have the potential to bring, in the coming two or three years, the oil production to 65 million tons, while gas production to 40 billion cubic meters.”
