“AZERBAIJAN`S ROLE IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR EU IN TRANSPORTATION OF ENERGY SOURCES”, EU ENERGY COMMISSIONER

Baku, September 15 (AzerTAc). “Azerbaijan`s role is very important for the EU in transportation of energy sources”, said EU Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs at the press conference dedicated to the “Gas Infrastructure World Caspian-2009” international conference.
“The European Union is interested in import of natural gas from the Caspian region. We are looking for new routes providing EU with energy. The need for energy is increasing in Europe”, said Mr. Piebalgs.
