About Roemer's meeting with Chidambaram, the Embassy
said the two reviewed the important next steps which India and
the US will be pursuing following the Minister’s successful
working visit to the US.
During the visit, Chidambaram met full range of senior
officials in New York and Washington to discuss America’s
homeland security initiatives following the September 11,
2001, attacks as well as future initiatives for security and
counterterrorism cooperation between India and the United
States, the statement said. PTI
