Russian, Chinese leaders adopted program of regional cooperation.

NEW YORK, September 23 (Itar-Tass) -- The Russian and Chinese
presidents, Dmitry Medvedev and Hu Xintao, met on Wednesday and adopted a
program of cooperation between the regions of the Russian Far East, East
Siberia and Chinese Northeast, Russian Presidential Aide Sergei Prikhodko
said, summing up the results of Wednesday's talks.

"This is important document for bilateral interaction," the aide said.
He reaffirmed that the drafting of the program was in the centre of Hu'
s state visit to Russia.
The two heads of state are confident that the program will be an
important stage in the activities aimed at the implementation of bilateral
agreements.
Medvedev and Hu also discussed a program of political contacts for the
future and agreed to hold their next meeting during the APEC summit in
Singapore in November.
