Russia delivers first humanitarian wheat supplies to North Korea

MOSCOW, September 25 (Itar-Tass) -- Under the decision of the Russian
government the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations has delivered
the first humanitarian wheat supplies to North Korea, a source in the
Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
"The first wagons of humanitarian wheat supplies were passed to the
North Korean side at the Rajin railway station in a ceremony. Russian
Ambassador to North Korea Valery Sukhinin, Russian Emergencies Ministry's
officials were participating in the ceremony. Russia is planning to
deliver 9,980 tons of wheat to North Korea as part of a humanitarian
operation," the Russian diplomatic source said.
The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry "makes relief supplies to
North Korea as part of Russia's contribution in the fund of the
International Civil Defence Organisation," the diplomatic source said.
