G20 turns from crisis floor into permanent economic forum-Medvedev.
PITTSBURGH, September 26 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian President Dmitry
Medvedev believes the decision to institutionalize G20 is one of the most
important results of the just-ended summit of the world's leading
economies.
"The point at issue is considering the G20 group not as a 'crisis
floor', but as a permanent economic forum," Medvedev told a news
conference following the summit in Pittsburgh. "Just one year ago that
looked absolutely impossible. Now such a decision has been made and the
G20 is a permanent forum in its own right."
