Russia`s wish to have info about Iran`s n-program grows - Medvedev.
PITTSBURGH, September 26 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia's wish to have concrete
and verifiable information about the Iranian nuclear program keeps growing
stronger, President Dmitry Medvedev told a news conference following the
G20 summit on Friday.
"This situation (involving Iran's nuclear program) requires unflagging
attention," Medvedev said. "Russia believes that the IAEA should conduct
an inspection without any delay, and as a member of that organization it
will promote this process. We are calling upon Iran to be cooperative to
the maximum extent."
"The information that has been received so far has increased our wish
to achieve concrete and verifiable results," the Russian president said.
"The meeting between the international sextet and Iranian officials due on
October 1 will be a chance for that country to demonstrate its goodwill
and present convincing proof it wishes to use its research for peaceful
purposes."
