Russia-China coop factor of regional, global dimension - RF PM

MOSCOW, October 1 (Itar-Tass) - Multifaceted cooperation between
Russia and China really suits the vital long-term interests of the Russian
and Chinese peoples and is a significant factor of regional and global
dimension, says the congratulatory message Russian Prime Minister Vladimir
Putin addressed on Thursday to Wen Jiabao, the Premier of the State
Council of the PRC on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the
foundation of the People's Republic of China and the 60th anniversary of
the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Russian government's press service reports the message further
says, as follows:
"The fact that these anniversaries coincide has a special meaning in
view of the nature of relations between Russia and China that now reached
the level of strategic interaction and partnership.
"In six decades the PRC has scored huge successes in the social and
economic development, assumed a stable place among the leading world
powers and earned high prestige in international affairs. Particularly
impressive are the achievements connected with your country's policy of
reforms and openness.
"It is very important that the jubilee in the Russian-Chinese
relations is accompanied with vigorous contacts in the political,
commercial, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and other areas.
"I highly appreciate the attention that you, Mr Premier, give to the
consolidation of ties with Russia, specifically, in the framework of
regular meetings of heads of government. I am sure our talks due in
Beijing will help promote the implementation of new joint projects and
further develop mutually advantageous cooperation."
