RF-US joint venture to come into operation at KAMAZ.

KAZAN, October 6 (Itar-Tass) - A joint-venture enterprise, established
by the Kama autoworks (KAMAZ) and the American Federal Mogul Corporation,
is to be put into operation in Naberezhnyye Chelny on Tuesday, Oleg
Afanasyev, director of the KAMAZ information policy department, has told
Itar-Tass.
The new production plant, the KAMAZ official said, "has been founded
on the strength of the partners' equal shares in the authorised capital".
The plant personnel is more than 350 in number. The enterprise is located
at the production sites of KAMAZ and begins to turn out cylinders,
pistons, and other components for diesel engines that are up to the Euro-3
and Euro-4 standards. KAMAZ will be the main consumer of the JV output at
the initial stage.
