AZERBAIJAN READY TO SUPPLY GAS TO EU MARKETS, PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV
Baku, October 17 (AzerTAc). “We are ready to supply gas to EU markets, and we possess necessary resources and infrastructure,” Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev said at a Cabinet meeting to discuss socio-economic achievements in the first 9 months of the year.
“European countries are waiting for our gas, and relevant negotiations are underway.”
The President said: “Among our potential partners are Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Germany and Switzerland.”
“Some of these countries are situated close to our borders, while some not, however, these countries want to purchase Azerbaijan`s gas for world prices,” added the President.
“And we also want to sell our gas for world prices. This project is mutually beneficial.”
