RECESS IN ALL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS ACROSS TURKEY ON OCT. 30

ANKARA (A.A) - 26.10.2009 - National Education Ministry recessed all education institutions across Turkey on October 30.
The education institutions --including pre-schools, elementary and secondary schools, private schools, courses and study centers-- will be recessed on October 30 to keep students protected against swine flu. 
The buildings and gardens of these education institutions will be disinfected against the H1N1 virus.
On Sunday, all schools in Ankara were recessed for one week against swine flu, thus, state-run TRT 3 channel will broadcast live education programs in line with the current curriculum of the schools between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. as of Tuesday.  
Under the joint project of Health Ministry, National Education Ministry and TRT, if schools in any province of Turkey are recessed, TRT 3 will broadcast education programs.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Recep Akdag said that students would be vaccinated as of the last week of November, and vaccination would continue till January, 2010.
Akdag warned citizens not to kiss, hug and shake hands for the next five months so that the spread of swine flu would be reduced to minimum.
On Sunday, a 29-year-old patient died from swine flu which was the first death from this disease in Turkey. The number of swine flu cases in Turkey is 958.
