AZERI DEPUTY FM MEETS ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF STATE FOR POLITICAL-MILITARY AFFAIRS IN WASHINGTON

Baku, 5 November (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov met on Wednesday in Washington U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Andrew Shapiro for the 11th U.S.-Azerbaijan Security Dialogue. The talks built upon the success of the previous Dialogue, held in Washington in July 2007.
The Dialogue focuses on international and regional security issues and enhancing bilateral cooperation in the areas of maritime security, counterterrorism and counternarcotics, border security, and nonproliferation.
