Mitr Lao Sugar Company to double volume production this year

(KPL) The Mitr Lao Sugar Company expected that its volume production would increase double in this year.
Around 400,000 tonnes of sugarcanes is expected to be supplied to its plant in this year.
Deputy Manager of the Mitr Lao Sugar Company, Mr. Thanaphat Chitphinith said that the input of 400,000 tonnes of sugarcanes would be output of 40,000 tonnes of sugar.
“Our company would start squeezing sugarcane next week,” he added.
Ninety-five per cent of all products will be exported to the EU market and five per cent for selling domestically.
Presently, 836 growers grew the sugarcanes to feed the factory, which increased from 418 people in initially.The mill is stationed at Kenghad village, Sayboury district, Savannakhet province. The total investment was 63 million US dollars, by Thai businessman.
Last year, this company initially squeezed 130,000 tonnes of sugarcanes, yielding 23,000 tonnes of sugar.
