EMPLOYEE OF OMBUDSMAN`S OFFICE ATTENDS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Baku, November 7 (AzerTAc). Head of department of Azerbaijani Ombudsman`s Office Zaur Aliyev participated in the international conference on fighting terrorism. The event was organized by Diplomatic Academy of Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry and Russian Association of International Law.
The event brought together Russian officials, representatives of the international and non-governmental organizations.
Issues dealt with combat with separatism, extremism and piracy were in the focus of conference.
Mr. Aliyev briefed about protection of human rights and freedoms in Azerbaijan, activity of Azerbaijani Ombudsperson Elmira Suleymanova, state structures and NGOs in combat with terrorism as well as relations established with national human rights institutions.
