Terms on which Russian servicemen stay in Kyrgyzstan discussed.
MOSCOW, November 18 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian Defense Minister Anatoly
Serdyukov and head of Kyrgyzstan's Defense Ministry Major-General Bakytbek Kalyyev discussed on Wednesday the status and terms on which the Russian military contingent stays on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
"The meeting was held to promote an early implementation of the
arrangements on the further development of military cooperation of Russia
and Kyrgyzstan and regional stability and security the heads of state
achieved in Cholpon-Ata on August 1, 2009," said Irina Kovalchuk, the
deputy press secretary of the Russian defense minister.
"During the meeting the parties discussed the stands regarding the
status and terms on which the Russian military contingent stays on the
territory of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan," she said.
