Sochi mayor says Rogge satisfied with Olympic preparations.
LAUSANNE, November 20 (Itar-Tass) -- The mayor of the Black Sea spa
Sochi, which will host Winter Olympics in 2014, said President of the
International Olympic Committee (IOC) Jacques Rogge is well informed of
the preparations for the games and is "very satisfied" with them.
Anatoly Pakhomov, who met IOC president on Thursday, told Tass "we
reported to Rogge about preparations and what is being done in the city
and construction sites."
He quoted Rogge as saying he has "all the information and is aware of
our successes, which is a quick implementation of projects, and mistakes,
which experts revealed."
"In general Rogge said he was very satisfied with Sochi developments
and convinced that Sochi Olympics will be unforgettable and the best,"
Pakhomov said, adding "there was no criticism at all".
The mayor said Rogge accepted the invitation to visit Sochi and may
likely come already next year.
