School classes resume in Kamchatka after extended vacations.
PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, November 23 (Itar-Tass) - School vacations
that were extended due to high incidence of flu and ARVI have finally come
to an end in the Kamchatka territory.
Classes that were postponed twice - on November 9 and November 16 --
have resumed at schools, and now the teachers and students will have to
roll up their sleeves and to make up for leeway.
A special steering commission set up by the territorial government has
taken a decision to continue daily monitoring of attendance at general
schools and kindergartens.
Disinfecting regulations have been tightened at all the educational
institutions.
If the steering commission finds that 20 or more percent school
students and pre-schoolers are absent due to illness in one or another
educational establishment, it may be placed on a quarantine of up to seven
days long.
To prevent a possible spread of viral infections, the authorities have
reaffirmed the ban on mass public events for children and adolescents.
.More than 50 people to take part in fellow-countrymen's forum in St
Pete.
