Discussion of National Unity Doctrine

Taraz, November 28, 2009 (Khabar) - In Zhambyl region, members of People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan discussed at 12th session the draft of National Unity Doctrine elaborated according to the initiative of head of the state. The meeting participants came to a consensus that new stage of development of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan begins with the adoption of the doctrine. Representatives of over eighty nationalities live in the region and 30 cultural centers function here. They work closely with government agencies, involve in educating young people and teach them a sense of patriotism, respect for the state language and culture. The Assembly adopted an appeal to all non-governmental organizations, the scientific community and youth, in which they call to strengthen inter-ethnic unity, to preserve peace and harmony in general home, Kazakhstan.

Fyodor Klimenko, chairman of the Ukrainian national-cultural center:
- This is the third stage of our Assembly. The first and second were successful. Now in the third we should unite the people more, the people rallied together to a relationship, mutual assistance, mutual consent for peace and prosperity. And, as it was mentioned, economy and wealth will grow if there is peace in the country.
