Culture Days of Kyzylorda region in Astana
Astana, November 28, 2009 (Khabar) - The famous artists, singers and musicians of Kyzylorda region perform in Astana. Culture Days of this region are held in the capital. The program includes plays of Bekezhanov Kazakh Musical and Drama Theater and performances of zhyrshy, singer-narrators. Kyzylorda region is called to be the cradle of this improvising art of Turkic people and famous epic “Koblandy-batyr” survived till nowadays thanks to zhyrshy.
Arman Kyrykbaev, chairman of the Committee of Culture Ministry of Culture and Information of RK:
- Zhyr is not just a song, not just for fun, if you look closely, the vast knowledge needed to understand what they say, first of all, they speak of love for country, about courage, praise love for mothers, grandfathers and fathers and love for homeland. We have not witnessed such amount of artists for a long time from the regions, and many thanks to our colleagues from Kyzylorda.
