RSAF APACHE HELICOPTER SET TO CREATE SENSATION

LANGKAWI (Malaysia), Dec 1 (Bernama) -- The presence of an AH-64D Apache
Longbow attack helicopter belonging to the Republic of Singapore Air Force
(RSAF) is set to raise eyebrows at the Langkawi International Maritime and
Aerospace exhibition 2009 (Lima '09).

Developed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing), the world's premier attack
helicopter, is joining two RSAF F-16C/D Fighting Falcon aircraft at the five-day
exhibition starting Tuesday.

The RSAF AH-64D Longbow's presence is poised to create a lot of enthusiasm
as there has never been any report of its involvement in any joint air exercise
with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).

An Apache helicopter and a Fighting Falcon fighter/attack aircraft belonging
to the RSAF will take part in an air show daily from tomorrow.

Painted in black for night operations, the Apache was a terrifying machine
used in combat in the first and second Gulf War.

The Apache's technology is remarkable as it has amazing flight, weapons,
sensor and armour systems.
