MALAYSIA,INDONESIA STEP UP COOPERATION FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- Malaysia and Indonesia will step up
cooperation in women entrepreneurship as contained in a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) signed by the two countries in 2003.

Woman, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat Jalil said
through the MoU, women would enjoy various benefits, especially to encourage
them to venture into the business sector.

This cooperation was in line with the fourth National Key Results Area which
was to produce 4,000 women entrepreneurs by 2012, she said when opening the
Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa Mustika Ratu here Monday.

Mustika Ratu, the franchisor of the Taman Sari Royal Heritage SPA, also
offers beauty courses for women.

"I urge women entrepreneurs to venture into the business sector, especially
in fields related to beauty and to take advantage of the franchise system
offered by this Taman Sari Royal Heritage SPA," she added.

Also present at the function was Indonesia Ambassador to Malaysia Da'i
Bachtiar.
