RF, Italy to conclude over ten documents on cooperation.

ROME, December 3 (Itar-Tass) - Russia and Italy will cooperate in
building the South Stream gas pipeline, recognise documents on education
in the two countries and will set up joint ventures on making express
street-cars and car tyres.
Appropriate documents are planned to be signed on Thursday by the
results of the interstate consultations with the participation of Russian
President Dmitry Medvedev and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
"All in all, over a dozen of intergovernmental and interdepartmental
agreements and contracts are compiled for signing," the Russian president'
s aide Sergei Prikhodko told Itar-Tass.
According to the Russian leader's assistant, the sides "are drafting
for signing - and we hope that it will be signed - a memorandum of mutual
understanding between Russian Gazprom and the Italian ENI company
concerning the South Stream project, dealing with construction of a new
gas transport network from Russia to southern Europe across the Black Sea".
Apart from the above, the sides are preparing for singing a memorandum
of mutual understanding between Aeroflot and Alitalia, an agreement
between Rostekhnologii and the Pirelli Company on building a factory in
Togliatti to produce tyres for cars and trucks, a memorandum of mutual
understanding between Russian Vneshekonombank as well as SIBUR Company and
the Italian SACE Insurance Group on building a complex to make
polypropylene in Tobolsk.
"The annual capacity of an enterprise will be 500,000 tonnes, and the
cost of the contract tops two billion US dollars," Prikhodko specified.
He noted that it is planned to conclude an Agreement on mutual
recognition of documents on education, issued in Russia and Italy; to sign
a Protocol between the culture ministries on staging the Year of Russian
Culture and Russian Language in Italy as well as the Year of Italian
Culture and Italian Language in Russia in 2011; to sign a joint statement
by the head of the Russian Federal Agency on Tourism and the Italian
minister on tourism on effecting an intergovernmental agreement on
cooperation in tourism in 2010-2011.
The sides "will also sign a programme for cooperation in energy
efficiency and renewable energy sources; a memorandum of intent between
the agriculture ministries on cooperation in agriculture and the
agro-industrial complex; a programme for cooperation between justice
ministries; a memorandum on cooperation in transport infrastructure; a
protocol to the agreement on readmission; an agreement between Russian
Roskosmos and the Italian Space Agency on cooperation under the Spektr-M
project", the president's aide enumerated.
