Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques receives Iranian official
Makkah, June 4, SPA - The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Safa palace in Makkah tonight visiting President of the Expediency Council and Chairman of the Council of Experts of the Islamic Republic of Iran Akbar HashemiRafsanjani and his accompanying delegation.
During the audience, the monarch welcomed his Iranian senior guest, wishing him and his delegation a good stay in theKingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On his part, Iran's ex-President, current Chairman of the Expediency Council and Chairman of the Council of Experts expressed thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to him and theaccompanying delegation.
Then, they reviewed a number of issues of common concern and exchanged view points on the International Islamic Conference forDialogue scheduled for Makkah tomorrow.
After that, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held adinner party in honor of Rafsanjani and accompanying delegation.
The audience and the banquet were attended by Prince Met'eb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs; Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; other princes, ministersand a number of officials.
