MALAYSIAN DPM ARRIVES IN TOKYO FOR FOUR-DAY VISIT ON SPECIFIC INVESTMENT MISSION TO

TOKYO, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin
arrived here Monday for a four-day specific investment mission to Japan.
The mission aims to attract Japanese investments in areas such as advanced
electronics, green automotive technologies, transport equipment and components,
petrochemicals and chemical products as well as medical and food products.
He is scheduled to meet and have separate discussions with presidents and
chairmen of several leading Japanese companies in efforts to attract increased
investments to Malaysia.
Muhyiddin, accompanied by his wife, Noorainee Abdul Rahman, was
greeted on arrival at the hotel by Malaysian Embassy, consulate and Malaysian
Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) officials.
Besides Tokyo, known as one of the three "command centres" for the world
economy alongside London and New York, Muhyiddin will also visit Osaka, the
commercial capital of Japan and the heart of Japan's second largest metropolitan
area of Keihanshin.
This is Muhyiddin's first working visit to Japan as Deputy Prime Minister.
