AZERBAIJANI SPEAKER MEETS UKRAINIAN DEFENSE MINISTER
Baku, 04 June, (AzerTAj)- Chairman of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan Parliament, Ogtay Asadov met with Ukraine`s Defense Minister Yuri Yekhanurov who is on a visit in Baku.
Asadov said the Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations have reached a qualitatively new level following the two countries` regaining their independence.
The Azeri Speaker noted the importance of reciprocal visits by parliamentary delegations for boosting the exchange of experience and information.
Ogtay Asadov said Azerbaijan is today making a great contribution to providing European energy security.
The Ukrainian Minister in turn said his country places a particular emphasis on cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Yuri Yekhanurov recalled Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Kiev this May, and described it as a success.
The Minister said great job has been done to push the Ukraine-Azerbaijan relations to a much higher level. - end.
