Five places specified for building enrichment plants: Iran's president

TEHRAN, Dec. 9 (MNA) – President Ahmadinejad declared on Wednesday that studies for building nuclear enrichment facilities in “five places have been finalized” and five others are under study.

The president had earlier announced that Iran plans to build 10 new nuclear enrichment plants.

Ahmadinejad stated that Iran has proven that it acts what it says.

“Our decisions are clear and we have acted what we have said,” the president asserted.

He added the decision to build ten new nuclear enrichment plants was not intended to confront the IAEA Board of Governors for approving a resolution against Iran because “since months ago we have tasked the Organization of Atomic Energy to specify the places for the facilities.”

The president went on to say that Iran’s nuclear position and nuclear activities are “quite transparent”.

“Our nuclear issue has been resolved since two years ago, but certain countries are willing to continue discussions about Iran’s nuclear activities.”

“Countries like Turkey, Brazil, South Africa and many other countries have been backing Iran’s position” and are trying to convince others about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, he pointed out.
