Int'l oil and gas exhibition opens in Ashgabat.

ASHGABAT, June 6 (Itar-Tass) -- The international exhibition "Search for and prospecting of oil fields, extraction, refining of oil and petrochemistry" has opened in Ashgabat on Friday under the slogan "Venue of Partnership - - Turkmenistan." Representatives of more than 70 companies from 30 countries presented their technologies here. Foreign businessmen are also invited to a conference to familiarize themselves with acquired directions of development of Turkmenistan's oil and gas complex, as well as experience of foreign companies working in the country. The presentation of products of leading manufacturers of oil and gas equipment will also be held here. As representatives of the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of the republic note, foreign partners show considerable interest in and readiness for close mutually advantageous cooperation with Turkmenistan that has great reserves of gas. This is the second such forum this year: in March, the exhibition and conference "Search for, prospecting and development of gas fields and mineral resources of Turkmenistan" were successfully held here.
