Scientists receive awards
Astana, December 15, 2009 (Khabar) - Scientists who made a significant contribution to science have been presented with awards in Astana. They were given awards named after famous Kazakh figures. The first award named after the founder of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences, Kanysh Satpayev went to scientists from the Financial Academy, Sarsengali Abdymanapov and Aliaskar Tungatarov for their series of works named “Boundary-value problems for combined equations”. The Chokan Valikhanov award of the first degree was given to Sara Kuzembai. A professor of the Kazakh National University Tursun Gabitov received the Ibyrai Altynsarin teaching award.

Kuanysh Bekmaganbetov, Kunayev award winner:
- My job is devoted to function theory studies. I have been working on this for the past 4 years. I would love to say thanks to the Ministry for Education and Science for such high appreciation of my scientific achievements.
