M'SIAN-THAI POLICE COOPERATION IN BOMB DISCOVERY INVESTIGATION
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and
their Thai counterparts will cooperate in investigating the discovery of several
home-made bombs in a house in Kampung Gebeng, Pasir Mas, Kelantan, an east coast
state in Peninsular Malaysia Monday.
Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan also confirmed the arrests
made during the police raid on the house but he declined to elaborate.
However, he said, it was too early to link the bombs to any terrorist group
as the investigation was still going on.
"PDRM is serious about combating any form of crime that can threaten our
national security and we are now investigating this case with our Special
Operations/Counter Terrorism Force," he said Tuesday.
On the case of five babies aged between two weeks and nine months who were
rescued from a baby-selling syndicate recently, Musa said the babies were under
observation at a hospital and in good health.
"We, however, cannot publicise the photographs of the babies," he said when
asked by reporters for the photographs.
