Yemen, UN discuss judicial cooperation

SANA'A, June 10 (Saba)- Minister of Justice Ghazi al-Aghbari held talks on Monday with the a team of evaluating regional programs for the United Nations program in Beirut Rajai Makharati on means of enhancing cooperation between the ministry and the organization in field of judiciary. Al-Aghbari reviewed the national agenda of the judicial reforms and laws were reviewed to enhance independence of judiciary in the country. Al-Aghbari pointed out to the laws associated with combating corruption such as law of anti-money laundering and establishment of Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC). He expressed affirmed concern of the ministry to benefit from the UN program in improving judicial capacities. The UN official voiced readiness of the organization to support Yemen in fields of improving administrative and judicial development.AH
