Republika GOVT DISBANDS ACTIVITIES OF AHMADIYAH A joint decree signed by the Religious affairs minister, home affairs minister and the Attorney General ordered Jamaah Ahmadiyah Indonesia (JAI) to stop dissemination, and other activities which violate the Islamic teachings. Media Indonesia MUNARMAN SURRENDERS HIMSELF TO JAKARTA POLICE After becoming a fugitive for six days, Commander of the Islamic Legion Munarman surrendered to the Jakarta Police on Monday evening. Munarman came to the police office by a taxi. The Jakarta Post GOVT CALLS IT A DAY FOR AHMADIYAH The Government, bowing to intense pressure from extremest groups, has ordered Jamaah Ahmadiyah to stop all religious activities or face legal prosecution. Kompas GOVT ABOVE ALL GROUPS The government wanted to stand above all groups. Therefore, it did not make a decision on violation or disbandment of Ahmadiyah. The government issued a decision to give a warning and order to members and followers of Ahmadiyah and the community.
