SKorea to give DPRK 2 mln dlrs for humanitarian projects.

SEOUL, December 28 (Itar-Tass) -- South Korea has decided to
additionally give 26 billion wonas (22.2 million dollars) to North Korea
for the implementation of humanitarian projects. These funds will be
channeled on the sidelines of the World Health Organization, UNISEF and
non-governmental organizations, the Unification Ministry of South Korea
reported on Monday.
It was decided to allocate the funds from the Fund of Inter-Korean
Cooperation. As a result, the total annual sum of humanitarian aid to
North Korea will reach in the outgoing year 50 billion wonas, a spokesman
for the Unification Ministry said. These funds are to be spent on
medicine, forests planting projects on the territory of the North and
professional training in the fields connected with production.
