ASTRO`S UNIT WINS US$2.6 MLN SAUDI CONTRACT

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 29 (Bernama) -- Astro All Asia Networks plc's subsidiary,
Digital Five Sdn Bhd has secured a US$2.6 million contract for the supply and
licensing of a content provider gateway software system to Saudi Bells Telecom
Company LLC (SBC).

It will build and develop the system within the Middle East and North of
Africa territories, Astro said in a filing to Malaysia Exchange Monday.

Digital Five is currently expanding its business of software development for
telecommunication providers in countries outside Malaysia.

SBC, incorporated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is 95 per cent owned by
Gulf Digital Media Holding BSC(C) (GDMH) while Gulf Allied Digital Media FZ LLC
(GADM) holds the remaining five per cent.

GADM, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of GDMH, which in turn is a 51 per cent
subsidiary of Saudi Telecom Company.
