One killed, two wounded in Mi-8 helicopter emergency landing.

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, December 29 (Itar-Tass) - One person died
and two were wounded in a Mi-8 helicopter emergency landing on the
Kamchatka peninsula, the regional branch of the Russian Ministry of
Emergency Situations reports.

The Koryak Airlines helicopter sent a distress signal to
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at 12:30 local time (03:30 Moscow time) on
Tuesday. It was airlifting a cargo between the villages of Anavgai and
Tigil. A three-member crew was onboard.
The Mi-8 helicopter crash-landed nearly 70 kilometers away from the
Esso village.
A helicopter of the Kamchatka Airlines Company carrying doctors,
rescuers and other experts is on its way to the accident site.
