Tehran prosecutor confirms 7 deaths in Ashura unrest
TEHRAN, Dec. 29 (MNA) – Tehran prosecutor general confirmed on Tuesday that seven people were killed in Ashura riots in Tehran on Sunday.
“Seven people were killed in Tehran,” Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi told reporters.
He said of the seven persons one has been killed by a shotgun and since the police have announced that they had not fired a bullet the issue is under investigation.
The prosecutor general said the six others have been killed by solid objects.
